KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Sprint PCS partnered with three companies to provide additional services for its wireless Web offering.
Sprint and DataChannel Inc., an XML-based enterprise information portal solutions company, announced a partnership to enable delivery of corporate data through DataChannel’s EIP solutions platform to Sprint PCS Internet-ready phones.
DataChannel’s EIP solutions are designed to provide a reliable, secure and personal two-way exchange of a company’s mission-critical information, regardless of source or intended device, according to Sprint.
Sprint PCS also formed a strategic partnership with Interact Commerce Corp., a provider of interactive selling solutions, which will offer selling professionals access to sales information and Web services available through Interact.com by using a Sprint PCS Internet-ready phone.
Sprint said the service will allow professionals to access Inter-act.com’s Web services to schedule Web conferences, receive news on clients and prospects, review their calendars, and access relevant information stored in their contact manager.
Sprint PCS chose next-generation wireless and broadband solutions provider Brience Inc. as a custom solutions provider of wireless applications for the business enterprise.
Brience said its software solutions and implementation support will offer companies wireless data communications on Internet-ready Sprint PCS phones without changing or adding to their current Web infrastructure.
