CHARLOTTE, N.C.-Communications solutions provider Glenayre Technologies Inc. received Federal Communications Commission approval for its @ctiveLink two-way wireless messaging module, which is used in conjunction with the Handspring Visor personal digital assistant.
Glenayre also received Industry Canada RSS134 certification, which is required for the module to be sold in Canada, and Intrinsic Safety UL913 certification from the Environmental Test Laboratories.
The module is designed to snap into the Springboard slot on the back of the Visor, providing users with connectivity to ReFLEX networks.
