VERNON HILLS, Ill.-Telular Corp. will provide its digital Phonecell Fixed Wireless Terminals to NBC Olympics Inc. for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, allowing NBC to provide voice communication to venue production personnel.
Mobile applications and services provider Aspiro AB will deliver and host the Olympic Games news application for a European mobile operator beginning in September.
The service will offer customers reports, stories and results from the Summer Olympics 24 hours a day, in three languages directly to mobile phones. Aspiro said the name of the operator will be released once the service has been launched.
