OWINGS MILLS, Md.-Aether Systems Inc. signed an agreement with ePhones to resell BlackBerry handheld devices using Aether Wireless’ e-mail services through the ePhones Powered Network.
Aether said its BlackBerry offering is an integrated package of hardware, software, airtime and customer services designed to provide wireless e-mail access through an integrated wireless modem. In addition to wireless e-mail, the BlackBerry device includes an address book, appointment calendar, task list, calculator and memo pad. The handheld also includes a cradle and desktop software allowing users to synchronize with desktop personal information management software.
“Because our partners specialize in wireless, the ePhones Powered Network is uniquely qualified to deliver wireless Internet solutions to qualified customers,” said Michael Merrill, chairman and chief executive officer of ePhones. “This agreement will help ePhones continue to deliver in its mission of providing leading edge wireless services.”
