JACKSON, Miss.-AT&T Wireless network partner Tritel Inc. launched digital wireless phone service in nine markets under its SunCom and AT&T brand names.
The markets include Corbin and Owensboro, Ky.; Florence, Muscle Shoals and Gadsden, Ala.; and Brookhaven, McComb, Greenville and Greenwood, Miss.
“These nine markets have been waiting for wireless carriers that offer true national coverage,” said Doug McQueen, senior vice president of sales operations at Tritel. “Tritel will provide customers with the largest nationwide wireless footprint by utilizing a tri-mode digital phone. Whether the coverage is digital 1900 MHz, digital 800 MHz or traditional analog cellular service, our SunCom phones will work.”
Tritel also selected Tessco Technologies Inc. to implement a turn-key accessory marketing program.
