MONTREAL-WMLBrowser.org, an open source development project developing a WML browser that will work with Linux environments, is supporting the Research In Motion Ltd. Blackberry device, according to 5Nine, a Linux wireless data infrastructure developer.
“Although Linux is our primary development platform, we believe that we need to support other wireless platforms in order to accelerate the growth of open wireless data services and WAP,” said Boris Kuschel, chief technology officer at 5Nine. “We want WMLBrowser.org to set a precedent for WAP browsers.”
