MONTREAL-Microcell Telecommunications Inc. announced it has extended the reach of its personal communications services network into more communities and on more highways.
New highway coverage includes Highway 10 and 15 in Quebec; Highway 401 in Ontario; and Highway 2 in Alberta. Mont-Tremblant, Quebec and Windsor, Ontario, are the new communities Microcell can reach.
“Our expansion plans are fully funded, thanks to a $400 million investment in Microcell made in early 2000 by VoiceStream Wireless Corp.,” said Rajiv Pancholy, Microcell Connexions Inc.’s president and chief operating officer.
