REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-AlterEgo Networks Inc. and Nextron Communications Inc., a provider of Web content management software, formed a strategic technology partnership allowing Nextron’s partner carriers, Internet service providers and franchises to adapt and deliver Internet content through AlterEgo’s Mobile Web Server platform to mobile devices.
Nextron said it will integrate the AlterEgo Designer 2.0 adaptation technology into its Web content management platform, Nextron Phase 4, and offer the technology in conjunction with Nextron Mobilize, the company’s permission-based mobile marketing application designed to help businesses drive in-store traffic and commerce.
“By partnering with Nextron, AlterEgo can gain access to the more than 30,000 medium-sized enterprises and small businesses whose Web sites are built on Nextron Phase 4 and who need affordable mobile applications and services,” explained Richard Ling, chief executive officer of AlterEgo.
