STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Under a new partnership, CellPoint Inc. and Swedish game developer It’s Alive! plan to “bring the mobile phone to life” by creating location-based mobile games for short message service phones or WAP handsets.
Tom Soderlund, It’s Alive!’s chief executive officer, said the companies hope to appeal to the Playstation generation by creating games for multiple players using phones’ mobile positioning functions.
The companies have conducted game tests and plan to integrate the games with CellPoint’s platform to offer them to mobile operators.
CellPoint is a location and wireless telemetry company.
