MWIF finalizes recommendations for Layered Functional Architecture

FREMONT, Calif.-The Mobile Wireless Internet Forum announced it has finalized its recommendation for a new Layered Functional Architecture, designed to provide a unified structure for better integration of the mobile and Internet communities. The group’s goal is to drive an open Internet-based architecture that enables seamless integration of mobile technology and Internet Protocol-based services for mobile networks.
