SUNNYVALE, Calif.-Spectrian Corp. completed the sale of its UltraRF semiconductors division to Cree Inc. for about $30 million and 1.8 million shares of Cree stock.
The transaction calls for Cree to supply radio-frequency power semiconductors to Spectrian for two years. In addition, the companies entered a one-year agreement to develop a variety of semiconductor technologies.
Spectrian designs ultra-linear power amplifiers for wireless infrastructure, and Cree develops and manufactures semiconductor materials and devices.
