HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-Audiovox Communications Corp. released its new tri-mode phone, the CDM-8100, which features a built-in Web browser, data/fax capabilities and weighs in at four ounces.
Audiovox’s new phone, operating on the 800 MHz AMPS/CDMA and 1900 MHz personal communications services frequencies, includes several features, such as a MSM-3100 chipset, two-way short messaging service, T9 predictive text messaging, a one-way built-in speakerphone and 100 memory locations.
“We’re confident this phone will satisfy consumer appetites everywhere,” said Philip Christopher, Audiovox’s president and chief executive officer.
Additional CDM-8100 features include caller ID, voice/text messaging service, cigarette lighter charger, hands-free car kit and earphone microphone.
