O2wireless adds two companies to stable

ATLANTA-Just a few months after its successful initial public offering, O2wireless Solutions Inc. announced two acquisitions, which the company said will add site development and international consulting and legal services to its list of offerings.

In separate announcements on the same day, o2wireless said it had acquired Young & Associates Inc., which provides site development and consulting services, and international consulting firm HAF Ltd.

The dollar amounts were not disclosed.

O2wireless executives said the acquisitions would help expand the company, but in the future more focus would be paid to building the company from the inside.

News of the acquisitions did little for the company’s stock, which has hovered around $10 per share under light trading for the past month, down from the company’s $24 high in September.

Young & Associates offers site-location analysis, site acquisition, zoning, land-use permitting, construction-bid management and construction management, according to o2wireless, and has participated in the development of more than 3,700 sites. Young & Associates has 55 employees and boasts clients such as Nextel, Sprint PCS, VoiceStream Wireless and Verance. In a release, o2wireless executives said the acquisition would help the company offer a broader range of site development services.

HAF’s international consulting business covers clients in more than 40 countries, and its major areas of business include third-generation technology, Internet, GSM and broadband wireless. O2wireless’ acquisition marks the company’s move to expand its European market coverage. Company executives said o2wireless would soon open several new offices throughout Europe.
