TAMPA, Fla.-GTE Telecommunication Services Inc. announced it will no longer market itself with GTE or Verizon Information Services and will note the distinction by changing its name to simply TSI Telecommunication Services Inc.
“Formally adopting the name TSI reinforces our unique and distinctive position within the highly competitive telecommunications industry,” said Michael G. Hartman, the company’s president. “This change is significant to our customers and critical to our long-term growth strategies.”
Established in 1987, the company initially worked to solve the problems associated with wireless roaming across different networks. It now offers solutions for roaming, fraud, revenue enhancement and SS7 network issues.
