TORONTO-Mist Inc., which provides wireless technologies applications and other information management technologies, is conducting a test of its MIST Freedom II Wireless point-of-sale terminal with McDonald’s Corp., in the Vivencia Restaurant franchise at the Stouffville, Ontario, location.
The terminal is an interactive, portable wireless device that customers operate. It allows quick electronic payments at the point-of-sale. The company said that drive-through transactions are especially faster because the customer can pay while their order is assembled.
“Quick service restaurants need a fast, convenient and secure way to offer customers as many payment options as possible,” said Colin Glassford, operations manager of McDonald’s Vivencia restaurant. “With MIST’s Wireless Freedom II, we can offer customers the fastest card payment system available to accept debit cards, all at an affordable cost.”
MIST’s national sales director, Dave Haacke, added, “This means faster service, more satisfied customers and a more enjoyable, time-saving and convenient experience all-around.”
