BOTHELL, Wash.-Infowave Software Inc., which provides software that connects enterprise applications to wireless devices, and Novatel Wireless Inc., which provides wireless data access solutions, announced an agreement to jointly market and sell wireless enterprise solutions to corporations.
The joint solution will provide corporations with Novatel’s wireless modems and Infowave’s Wireless Business Engine. According to the companies, this will alleviate problems corporations face in finding compatible hardware and software, and allow them to focus on ensuring mobile workers have access to corporate data.
“With this agreement, Novatel Wireless and Infowave are targeting the important corporate market to deliver a proven wireless enterprise solution,” said John Major, chief executive officer of Novatel Wireless. “Novatel Wireless’ modems combined with Infowave’s Wireless Business Engine give a corporation everything they need in terms of security, scalability and connectivity to key corporate applications and information. Infowave has been a real catalyst in making the wireless enterprise a reality and together we are developing a strategy to target 1,000 corporate customer this year.”
