SAN DIEGO-Qualcomm has developed an integrated circuit and software solution that it said will allow CDMA handsets to compete with the price of GSM handsets.
“The MSM6000 radioOne-based integrated circuit and system software will assist manufacturers in offering equal or lower pricing of third-generation cdma2000 1x handsets compared with standard GSM terminals, and delivers an optimized system solution to manufacturers, allowing them to rapidly design new entry-level handsets for the 3G market,” said Don Schrock, president of Qualcomm CDMA technologies.
