724 acquires Webhelp technology

TORONTO-724 Solutions Inc., which provides Internet infrastructure software, has acquired technology and service offerings developer Webhelp Inc.’s Web Application Event Framework (WAEF) technology.

WAEF technology, which is compatible with most wireless networks, including GPRS and third-generation networks, will provide real-time interaction on mobile applications. WAEF also offers personalization services for rapid, user-friendly and secure mobile transactions.

“Increasing the value and ease-of-use of mobile applications is key to our strategy of driving significant volumes of m-commerce transaction,” said John Sims, chief executive officer of 724 Solutions. “Webhelp is an innovator in providing real-time, person-to-person interaction solutions to leading online companies.
