MOULINEAUX, France-Wavecom SA, which develops digital wireless standard modules announced that Sewon Telecom Co. Ltd., a Korean telecommunications company, has placed its second order for WISMO modules, this time for 550,000 units.
“The WISMO solution allowed us to introduce two new models at the right time that are perfectly adapted to the market,” said Sewon Director H.S. Han. “The products have been so successful that we decided to place a significantly larger second order for additional WISMO modules.”
The WISMO2C dual band, plug-in module is a fully integrated device that offers GSM phase 2 features.
The latest order brings the total WISMO2C modules Sewon has ordered to 750,000, the largest cumulative order Wavecom has ever received.
