GoAmerica hints at strong 2Q results
Wireless Internet provider GoAmerica Inc. hinted it will have a strong second quarter, a move that sent its stock up 10 percent in trading Friday to $1.87 per share.
The company released preliminary second-quarter results, predicting more than 100,000 subscribers and total revenues of up to $10 million. “We are pleased that our unwavering focus on execution has enabled us to sustain industry-leading subscriber growth, despite the tough market conditions,” said Aaron Dobrinsky, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer.
GoAmerica said it had recently taken several business steps it believes will help it reach positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization earlier than previously expected. The company now expects to be EBITDA positive by the first half of next year.
“We reiterate that our business plan is fully funded and that we expect to end this year with $40 million to $50 million in cash,” said Frank Elenio, the company’s chief financial officer.
