CTIA names keynote speakers

WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association announced the keynote speakers for the opening day of its Wireless I.T. & Internet 2001 show, to take place in San Diego in September.

Jacob Christfort, Oracle’s chief technology officer and vice president of product development, and Al Zollar, president and chief executive officer of IBM’s Lotus Development Corp., are slated to speak. Christfort has been with Oracle since 1997 and is credited with product development of the Oracle9I Application Server Wireless Edition as well as product development and operations for OracleMobile hosting services. During Zollar’s continuing 23 year career with IBM, he has held senior-level positions at IBM eNetwork software, IBM’s Tivoli Systems and in IBM software development laboratories.

“CTIA always brings out the trailblazers in the wireless revolution and this year’s line-up is stronger than ever,” said Tom Wheeler, president and CEO of CTIA, of the upcoming show’s opening speakers.
