MIAMI-Brightstar Corp. said its recently released second- quarter revenues show it has captured the market share lead in Latin American wireless outsourcing.
Brightstar’s consolidated revenues came to $102.6 million and its income was $2.8 million for the quarter, which the company said makes it the biggest and most profitable wireless distributor in Latin America. “This success in Latin America is a tribute to our strategic partnerships with vendors and customers,” said R. Marcelo Claure, Brightstar’s CEO.
The company’s chief competitors, CellStar Corp. and Brightpoint Inc. reported second quarter revenues for their Latin American regions of $98.6 million and $68.8 million, respectively.
