MADRID, Spain-Telefonica Moviles and Nokia agreed to cooperate in developing applications for value-added services for Telefonica Moviles clients in business and consumer segments. The companies will set up a services creation center in Madrid with the latest technologies and infrastructures to test new applications.
In an initial phase, the commercial services will be based on technologies currently available in the Telefonica Moviles network over GSM and GPRS. During the second phase, the companies will work to create advanced services incorporating multimedia messaging, audio and video streaming, location-based services and Java based on Universal Mobile Telecommunications System technology.
