LAGOS, Nigeria—The Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) said it will open 1 million GSM lines within six months, more lines than the rest of all of West Africa.
“The month of August 2001 marks a watershed for the telecoms infrastructure in Nigeria,” said Ernest Ndukwe, NCC’s chief executive.
