Cingular Interactive introduces Canadian roaming

WOODBRIDGE, New Jersey, United States.—Cingular Interactive, a business unit of Cingular Wireless, introduced Canadian roaming service, allowing U.S.-based Corporate E-mail Plus and Interactive Messaging Plus subscribers to use their service in major metropolitan areas across Canada via the Rogers AT&T Wireless Mobitex network.
“This cooperative international effort with Rogers AT&T Wireless will prove valuable to a cross section of our customers, from our roster of more than 170 Fortune 1000 companies to the scores of entertainment industry clients who depend on our services to wirelessly communicate,” said Donald Kovalevich, president of Cingular Interactive.
Canadian cities covered by the service include Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec, Regina, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Windsor and Winnipeg.
