HAYWARD, Calif.-Wireless security company Certicom scored four major software licensing deals, moves the company said further reinforce its role as a leader in the emerging wireless applications market.
Certicom said wireless carrier Motient Corp., wireless software and solutions provider Visto, platform provider ThinAirApps Inc. and information server provider Mobile Airwaves Inc. licensed the company’s security technology.
“These companies represent the new wave of wireless computing and communications that will literally put information directly into the hands of business users and consumers when and where they need it,” said Prakash Panjwani, vice president of business development for Certicom. “Innovative application developers have recognized Certicom as the leading provider of trusted security solutions tailored to meet the challenges posed by the constraints of the wireless environment.”
