HELSINKI, Finland—Nokia Corp. said it plans to team with other wireless industry leaders to found the Liberty Alliance Project to streamline easy single Internet sign-on by creating an open, standards-based solution for network identity and authentication.
“The way in which people communicate with each other is moving to a new level,” said Mikko Terho, senior vice president, Nokia mobile Internet technical architecture. “Personalization, location specific services and time sensitivity are becoming increasingly important as individuals are building their own mobile worlds.”
