SUNNYVALE, Calif.—Chip maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said its price war with Intel Corp. will make its third-quarter loss before charges greater than anticipated, expecting between $90 million and $110 million loss, or 26 cents to 31 cents per share.
The company’s shares slumped 49 cents, or more than 5 percent, to $8.51 in early trading on Friday on the New York Stock Exchange.
