SAN DIEGO—Qualcomm Inc. says it has begun production shipment of its MSM5100 third-generation cdma2000 1x chipset and system software.
“The MSM5100 chipset and system software is pin-compatible with the proven MSM3300 chipset, decreasing time-to-market for handset manufacturers, and is designed with the flexibility to support global cdma2000 1x market requirements and operator deployment strategies,” said the company in a statement.
