WOODBURY, New York, United States—Comverse said Guangdong Mobile Communications selected it to expand its Intelligent Short Message Service Center. The new agreement increases Guangdong Mobile’s capacity to serve 14 million busy hour short messages in 14 cities throughout the Guangdong province.
“Millions of China’s 120 mobile-phone users regularly exchange text message, play simple games, enter contests and download icons or ring tones,” said Zeev Bregman, chief executive officer of Comverse.
