BOISE, Idaho—Extended Systems unveiled its XTNDConnect Mobile Objects mobile application software development kit, designed to provide developers with a comprehensive set of tools to build customer mobile applications and extend existing applications to mobile devices.
The company said the product makes it possible to extend corporate, LAN-based applications to mobile devices, as well as provide live database access, Web services, e-mail, network printers, and faxing and paging services into mobile applications.
The software, scheduled for release Nov. 29, will have a list price of $395 per server.
