TEWKSBURY, Mass.-Starent Network Corp., a provider of next-generation mobile infrastructure solutions, reported its ST16 Intelligent Mobile Gateway platform was selected by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. to be incorporated into Samsung’s cdma2000 infrastructure offerings.
Starent said the ST16 platform connects mobile operators radio networks with IP core networks, enabling new voice, data and multimedia services for wireless users.
Starent also completed a $22 million second round of equity financing, bringing the company’s total funding to $32 million. The latest financing was led by Matrix Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners and Highland Capital Partners.
