HELSINKI, Finland—Nokia has allied with companies with banking and financial expertise to produce and market software for mobile and online financial services using open standards.
The companies are 3I, an investment company; Accenture, a management and technology consulting company; and Sampo, which offers financial, investment and insurance services.
The product, called Meridea Financial Software, was showcased Thursday in London as a “next-generation software solution for financial institutions, which enables consumers to access electronic and mobile financial services through multiple channels, including mobile devices, the Internet, telephones, interactive voice response systems and digital television,” according to a statement.
