BUCHAREST, Romania—The Baltic GSM operators said that their recently announced cooperation will lead to decreased call costs for customers. The leading mobile telephone operators in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia—Latvian Mobile Telephone (LMT), Omnitel and EMT—announced a cooperation beginning 6 December that will allow free incoming calls as the first common service.
The three members of the Cooperation of the Baltic Mobile Communication Operators will offer new services in the future and they will extend the cooperation to other products.
Omnitel, LMT and EMT together have a market of more than 1.3 million subscribers in the Baltic region.
