MILAN, Italy—H3G, which holds a third-generation license in Italy, signed a roaming agreement with Telecom Italia Mobile. The agreement will allow H3G’s customers to access TIM’s GSM services in areas not covered by 3G services.
The agreement also provides for direct interconnection between the two networks and for the first sharing agreement of 3G sites stipulated in Italy. Hutchison Whampoa owns 78.3 percent of H3G.
