PARIS—Alcatel said it signed a US$12 million contract with Saudi Telecom Company (STC) to deliver local multipoint distribution service (LMDS) equipment.
The first phase of the contract includes deploying several LMDS base stations and associated equipment to connect an existing customer base of 600 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Riyadh and Jeddah. Alcatel will also provide network and service management.
The contract is Alcatel’s third with STC.
