GARDEN GROVE, Calif.-Disposable-phone maker Hop-On announced another customer, evidence that its prepaid, easy-to-use and fully recyclable mobile phone product may be catching on.
Wakefern Food Corp., the merchandising and distribution arm of cooperative ShopRite Supermarkets, purchased 50,000 mobile phones for about $1.5 million. Hop-On’s announcement comes shortly after the company scored a branded mobile phone marketing deal through the DVD release of “Jurassic Park III.”
