Spectrian forms China subsidiary

SUNNYVALE, Calif.—Spectrian Corp., a designer and manufacturer of power amplifiers for the wireless infrastructure market, announced it formed Spectrian Telecommunications Equipment Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary in Shanghai, China.

Harry W. Oh, Spectrian’s vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, will be responsible for the China operations. With the formation of this new Chinese subsidiary, Spectrian now has about 40 employees working in Asia.

Spectrian said its local outsource manufacturing partner is Microelectronic Technology Inc., a Taiwan-based supplier of microwave integrated circuit products used for satellite broadcasting, communications and telecommunications.
