WOODBURY, N.Y.—Dutch wireless carrier Dutchtone, a subsidiary of Orange Group, continued to flesh out its wireless music service by purchasing Comverse’s VoiCD music portal product.
Comverse said its portal allows users to listen to music tracks, download ring tones and send music tracks to friends.
“Today’s announcement clearly defines the innovation at Comverse in creating mobile entertainment distribution channels that will alter the way wireless consumers access information,” said Zeev Bregman, the company’s chief executive officer.
Dutchtone launched its music service earlier this month with content managed by Vitaminic.
The CRM transition is expected to begin during the first quarter.
