Action engine framework to run on TI OMAP processor

REDMOND, Wash.-Action Engine Corp. announced its Mobile Services Framework will work on Texas Instruments’ OMAP wireless application processors, a move the company said will allow wireless carriers, device makers and system integrators to create compelling wireless data applications and services.

“With the Mobile Services Framework running on TI’s OMAP processors, mobile device users will have access to applications and services that take advantage of Action Engine’s unique smart client/smart server architecture to improve their user experience,” said Paul Werp, worldwide director of marketing for TI’s OMAP platform.

AE has also recently announced Casio Computer Co. Ltd. licensed its framework for Casio’s family of personal digital assistants, and British operator MmO2 will integrate AE’s framework across its line of next-generation devices.
