WOODBURY, N.Y.—France’s Bouygues Telecom said it has chosen Comverse’s Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) to run on its GPRS network.
The MMSC platform allows multimedia messages to be sent and received on wireless devices. “This platform is quickly operational and represents the first step towards the mobile multimedia services of tomorrow,” said Yves Goblet, deputy chief executive officer of strategy and development at Bouygues. “The choice of the Comverse platform will thus contribute to the successful launch of added-value MMS services for our customers.”
