HURST, Texas—Handango announced that it is working closely with handset manufacturers Motorola Inc. and Sharp to deliver Java-based applications to Motorola Accompli and Sharp Zaurus users.
Handango said it is working with its more than 6,000 independent software vendor partners and a host of new Java developers to grow the number of available applications for Java-enabled mobile devices.
Handango’s initial offering features more than 100 software applications. Handango will also offer IBM’s WebSphere Micro Environment, a new platform for e-business applications that run on the Pocket PC and Palm OS.
