WOODBURY, N.Y.—Comverse Technology Inc. announced market research results of its Voice Controlled Voice Mail (VCVM) service deployed by Italy’s Blu S.p.A. mobile operator.
Satisfaction level for Comverse’s VCVM, which allows users to control voice mail with spoken commands, was rated “very good” by more than 88 percent of 200 Blue users interviewed. In addition, 40 percent said the service increased their voice mail usage because of its convenience, ease of use and speed.
Zeev Bregman, chief executive office of Comverse, called the successful results “testimony to the advantages of speech-driven enhanced services.” Bregman added, “For many service providers, VCVM can be viewed as a first step to full-blown voice portal services for the mass markets, which can include voice-activated dialing, voice-controlled e-mail and voice browsing.”
