Korean company to develop ReFLEX paging equipment

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.—Korean wireless device maker HuneTec Co. Ltd., which licensed Motorola Inc.’s ReFLEX two-way paging technology, is the latest in a string of companies seeking to fill the gap Motorola left in the U.S. paging market after its departure.

HuneTec said it plans to make ReFLEX-based paging devices and telemetry radio modules.

Motorola announced it would exit the paging business late last year and would discontinue its line of ReFLEX-based two-way paging devices. Other companies, including Advantra and Nixxo, have begun making such devices.
