WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—Paging and messaging carrier Arch Wireless Inc. announced net revenues for the first quarter of $228 million, down from the $241 million the carrier earned in the previous quarter.
However, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were up, $62 million for the first quarter, compared with $57 million in the previous quarter.
The carrier added 37,000 two-way subscribers for a total of 371,000, and lost 796,000 one-way subscribers.
“We continue to reduce operating expenses to offset declining revenue from traditional one-way messaging,” said C. Edward Baker Jr., Arch’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Arch filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy late last year.
