PARIS—Alcatel said it own two mobile infrastructure contracts in Russia.
CJSC, which operates under the Far East GSM brand, selected Alcatel to supply its GSM 900/1800 MHz solution to expand its existing network. Under the terms of the $2 million contract, Alcatel will deliver and install its equipment during the second quarter.
CJSC’s 900 MHz network offers service to 26,000 subscribers in the Khabarovsk region.
Uralsvyazinform, which operates a GSM network in the Urals, signed Alcatel to expand its network under a $5 million contract. The equipment is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter. The operator current has about 60,000 subscribers.
