Separately, Itron Inc. entered a letter of intent to purchase eMobile Data Corp., which offers wireless work force software, for $6.2 million in cash and stock.
Finally, eXI Wireless Inc. announced it will acquire Houndware Corp., a move the company said will broaden its customer base from health care to include power and construction companies.
