EMERYVILLE, Calif.—Geoworks Corp. announced dismal fourth quarter results, showing a 39-percent drop in revenue compared with the previous quarter due to the company’s new business focus, and Geoworks also hinted at a possible bankruptcy filing.
“The company expects that the opinion of its independent auditors … will express uncertainty about the company’s ability to continue as a going concern,” the company said in its earnings statement.
Geoworks reported revenues of $2.4 million and a net loss of $1 million.
The company early this year moved out of the wireless enterprise business to focus on software for wireless handheld devices.
