WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association’s Wireless 2001 tradeshow jumped to a ranking of 42, up from 68, in Tradeshow Week’s annual ranking of the top 200 tradeshows in the United States and Canada.
“2001 was a rough year for both the economy and the tradeshow industry, but Wireless 2001 not only survived, we thrived,” said Tom Wheeler, president and chief executive officer of CTIA. “Next on the agenda is Wireless I.T. in Las Vegas. … We are gearing up for another fantastic event in October—with some new twists like gaming and mobile health care pavilions.”
