NATICK, Mass.—According to Sage Research Inc.’s Service Provider Confidence Index (SPCI), made public for the first time this week, current conditions are steady, but optimism is wavering in the telecommunications service provider industry.
Sage said the current conditions index is rated at 30.5 out of 100, almost matching March’s SPCI. The optimism index, however, has dropped since March from 63.8 to 56.5. For their research, Sage uses responses from more than 100 service providers worldwide regarding topics including spending, revenues, employment, stock value and overall industry perceptions.
